Great news for all your little kickers, We are thrilled to announce that we will be running our Summer Holiday programme in 2024!
We have a jam packed programme full of FUN activities.
Our school holiday programme offers a great environment for kids aged 5 - 12 years to learn new skills, meet new friends, get some exercise and fresh air and have heaps of FUN!
We provide children with fun-filled activities to burn off some of their energy over the school holidays where they will learn new skills and get the chance to socialise, with children from other schools in the local area with the same interests. Throughout the programme, children are separated into groups according to their age and are instructed by our friendly team of football coaches.
Where: Hobsonville school fields ( 104A Hobsonville Road ) Entry through the bottom gate at the roundabout.
When:
Week 1: Tuesday 16th, Wednesday 17th, Thursday 18th April
Week 2: Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 23rd April
Times: 9 am to 3 pm.
Cost:
Individual day = $55
Full week (3 days) = $150
Second child discount = 10%
Each day we will have a different theme:
WEEK 1
Tuesday: Football t-shirt day (bring a football strip or clothes from a football team)
Wednesday: Wacky hair and clothes combination
Thursday: Kiwi Kick Stars Day (Handcraft, coloured print what you think when you heard “Kiwi Kick stars football”)
WEEK 2
Monday: Superhero day (identify your secret superpower and make a costume or a person you admire day!)
Tuesday: Backwards day (Wear your clothes backwards and your shoes on the wrong feet, learn a song backwards, etc.)
Wednesday: Kiwi Kick Stars Day (Handcraft, coloured print what you think when you heard “Kiwi Kick stars football”)
STRUCTURE OF THE DAY
9 am-9:15 am: WELCOME & REGISTER – Children will be registered and then lead onto the pitch.
9:15 am-10:15 am: Warm-up games and ABC's – All children will join in our warm-up and work on their ABC's to get the children moving and engaging straight away. This will have FUN games that will include jumping hurdles, ladders, in/out of cones, and stations designed to work and improve ABC’S (Agility, Balance & Coordination)
10:15 - 10: 45 am: SNACK AND PLAYTIME – Children will have a drink and a snack (We advise fruit, cereal bar etc) and time to play in the amazing playground.
10:45 am-12 pm: MORNING SESSION – The children will be split into groups based on age/ability and within their groups will be led by the coach to their designated pitch where they will take part in various different football drills and games. The morning session tends to involve a lot of ABC work (helping to improve movement) & Technical work while they play fun games.
12 pm - 1 pm: LUNCH, THEME OF THE DAY AND PLAYTIME – Children will have a drink and a snack (We advise fruit, cereal bar etc) and time to play in the amazing playground.
1 - 1:45 pm: MIDDAY FUN SESSION – The children will go back into their groups where they will play football fun, games and drills ending with a match within their groups. This part of the day is where we start introducing SSGs and try to reinforce information through game practices.
1:45 - 2:45 pm: WORLD CUP – The children will be split into suitable teams based on age/ability and will take part in a tournament.
2:45 - 3 pm: FINISH IN A HIGH ! Price and certificate awards and feedback of the day from participants.
3 pm: HOME TIME – Parents come to pick up their children remembering all of their belongings.
We provide incentives for fair play and good behaviour. On a daily basis, we choose a ‘Star of the day from each group and at the end of each course will choose a ‘Player of the course’. These awards are given out not only based on ability but also to children who show a desire to improve and a positive attitude.
